Validation at VIA

The National Knowledge Centre for Validation of Prior Learning (NVR)  is one of VIA University College’s research centres. Since 2007 NVR has been collecting, producing and disseminating information and documentation of knowledge and best practice on Validation of Prior Learning (VPL). The Centre has acquired much of its expertise through implementing a wide range of research, development and transfer-oriented projects to different target groups such as educations, practitioners, political actors, public institutions and companies. The aim is to continuously up-date knowledge and expertise for VPL policies, programmes and procedures in Denmark. One key responsibility of NVR thereby is to develop and pilot validation methods in close cooperation with national authorities and relevant partners from the educational system, industry, organisations and the third sector. In this regard NVR plays a key role in supporting VPL programmes and implementation at the decentralised and national level in Denmark.
