This paper is an overview of three different case studies from Austria. The case studies You have competences, Academy of Continuing Education and Informal Competence Acquisition-Educational Guidance Sector are shortly described. They discuss specific vocational qualifications for people with low qualifications and immigrant adults, the recognition of formal, non-formal and informal learning for adult educators and identifying informally acquired competences.
