NOKUT (the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education) is an independent expert body under the Ministry of Education and Research. It is a government organisation with about 100 employers.
NOKUT’s work is intended to contribute to society at large having confidence in Norwegian higher education and tertiary vocational education as well as recognised foreign higher education. NOKUT as a Norwegian ENIC-NARIC office is responsible for recognition of foreign education, including recognition of qualifications for refugees, displaced persons and persons in a refugee-like situation.
NOKUT’s Department of Foreign Education contributes to VINCE project through its expertise in evaluation of qualifications for refugees, displaced persons and persons in a refugee-like situation. In the project NOKUT will take lead in WP4 – Developing of Training Course.
The participants from NOKUT are Marina Malgina (Head of Recognition of Refugees’ Qualifications) and Sara Eitungjerde (Higher Executive Officer).
