Scrutiny and Approval of the “Recognition of Prior Learning” Modules

In 2009, York St John University agreed to contribute to a major European Leonardo da Vinci project to promote the ‘Recognition of Prior Learning Outcomes’ across Europe (or APEL in the UK, The University’s contribution was to approve a module at Level 3 and at Level M, which had developmental input from the European project team, and which progressed a Level 2 module which formed part of the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
